Can you connect VCDS with Born?

VCDS is a great tool for unlocking hidden features and making custom tweaks; I used it on my previous VW as well. Because the Born is likely to use a software architecture similar to other VW Group EVs such as the ID.3, VCDS may be viable. I've heard that OBDeleven may be more reliable for...

What do you think of the Cupra Born VZ?

The P2 is a great car. It's a good value for the money. It drives great and looks great. There's always room for improvement, but it's a really good car.

Choosing Between Cupra Born V1 and V2 for a Second Car

You're probably good with a regular V1. It'll likely have the tech pack. The HUD is nice, but you don't need to look far down to see the screen.

Why you should always get GAP insurance on new cars?

Hey, @That_Car_Dude! I haven’t had to file a claim yet (and hope I won’t need to!), but my decision comes from seeing friends deal with situations where GAP insurance saved them thousands. One friend got their car totaled within three months of purchase and would have been stuck with an...

Why did my EV charge to 100% despite an 80% limit?

It looks like AC charging uses the car's built-in charger, so the car controls the settings. But with DC fast charging, the charger is outside the car, connected by that big cable. That might be why those fast chargers can sometimes ignore the car's settings. That could also explain why the...

    Scheduled charging

Right now, my bro has the car set up for 80%, and he's using the Ohme Pro charger to schedule charging. But he said it can be a bit of a hassle having to manage charging through two separate systems. Ideally, it would be great if the car and the charger could sync up better.

What is the ideal percentage to recharge at?

Hey, great question! It's awesome that you're already charging to 80%. As a general rule, you want to avoid letting your battery get too low. I usually try to plug in when it's around 30-40%. Charging to 80% is a great way to keep your battery healthy for everyday driving. If you're going on a...

Is leaving an EV at 88% charge for a few days safe?

You're good! Leaving it at 88% for a few days won't hurt the battery at all. I've done that before too, especially before a trip. Just try to avoid leaving it at 100% for too long, and you're all set. No worries!

Has anyone tried e-boost on their ride?

I did a quick test drive of the e-Boost, and while I haven't driven the ID3, I noticed that the regen in Cupra mode isn't as strong as in B mode. In B mode, you really feel the car slow down when you lift off the gas, but in Cupra or Sport mode, the regen is barely noticeable.

Anyone Know About Regen in Cupra Mode?

A lot of people love how the Cupra Born handles. One driver said, 'Comfort mode is great for everyday driving, but switch to Performance mode and turn off the assists, and the car really comes alive!'
