Hey all!

Just wondering if any other Born owners have run into DBS charging faults. My car occasionally fails to recognize the charging station, and the error pops up sporadically. I have tried resetting and checking for software updates, but it is hit or miss. Planning a trip to the dealership soon, but if anyone has found a fix or has advice, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

I haven't had that issue with my Born, but have you checked the charging port for dirt, or tried a different station?

That’s such a hassle, especially when you’re relying on the charging station. If it’s hit or miss, it might be a compatibility issue with the station rather than the car itself. I’d try a few different chargers to see if it’s consistent before heading to the dealership, saves you a trip if it’s a simple fix.

Make sure there's no dirt, gunk, or water in the charging port or on the cable. That could be messing things up.

Hey! It could be a communication issue between the car and charger. Since you’ve tried resetting and updates, a dealership visit sounds like the right move. Hopefully, they can pinpoint the issue for you

I haven’t heard of a widespread issue with DBS charging, but it could be a software glitch or a connection issue. Since resetting and updates haven’t worked, a trip to the dealership sounds like a good call. Hopefuly, they can pinpoint the cause. Keep us posted if you find a fix!

I had the same issue with my Q4 e-tron, and now my Cupra Born has the same problem. The DBS fault causes the car to randomly stop charging, even after charging overnight. It's frustrating to face this problem again with a second car.
