I’ve now had the chance to drive the Cupra Born three times, and I’ve got to say, it just keeps getting better. After a solid first impression, the second drive was even smoother, and by the third time, well, I just drove it home! The dealer rep even let me borrow it for a weekend, which was awesome. All in all, the Cupra Born met my expectations perfectly, and I’m super excited as I’ve already ordered mine!

Here’s my overall take:
  • The ride is super comfortable and quiet on the 19” wheels, and the interior feels nicely uncluttered.
  • I’m pretty happy with the energy consumption, around 150-170Wh/km, which is solid for my needs.
  • The seats are so comfortable. And the sound system is definitely a step up from my current car.
  • As for those YouTube reviewers who keep complaining about the touch controls on the steering wheel, I honestly didn’t find them to be an issue at all.
  • The Adaptive Cruise Control worked like a charm, handling stops and starts very smoothly.
Coming from a Seat Ibiza, I’m more than satisfied with the acceleration. Did a couple of overtakes on some country roads, and it had plenty of power to spare.

It's great to hear you're enjoying the Cupra Born! Have you noticed if the braking feels different in sport mode compared to the other settings?

I had the chance to drive my friend's Cupra Born once, and I was hooked! It felt like a rock star moment zooming past slowpokes on country roads. LOL

Sport mode often adjusts throttle response and might slightly modify the braking feel, particularly with regen settings. I’d imagine it feels a bit more aggressive compared to the standard or eco modes. Did you notice any differences when slowing down from higher speeds?

Absolutely agree! The Cupra Born’s torque delivery makes those country road overtakes so satisfying. It’s one of the perks of EVs, instant power right when you need it. Sounds like you got a solid taste of what it’s capable of!

Sounds like you've had a fantastic experience with the Cupra Born! Three test drives, including a weekend loaner, is a great way to really get to know a car which is a smart move. It sounds like the Cupra Born is a perfect fit for you!
